The best supplier of 4G antennas in the world will provide internet connectivity during the great South American challenge.
Accert Competições, a team based in Goiania (GO), Brazil, and a specialist in off-road events, has just signed a sponsorship deal with Poynting Antennas for its debut in the 4,000 km challenge of the third edition of the South American Rally Race (SARR 2022), which will cross Argentina, from the northern region to Patagonia, between February 17th and 26th. It will be the team’s Mitsubishi L200 RS debut in international competitions, which will race in the Category T1-2 with the number #134.

The Poynting products, with their high-gain 4G antennas for broadband connectivity, will be installed and operating across the team’s fleet, including the race cars, the support trucks, the trailer with parts and equipment and the motorhome. “We are grateful and flattered for all the support and professionalism that Poynting Antennas has offered us. For Accert Competições, this represents a big step towards full connectivity during SARR 2022 and a new platform to support innovation in rally motorsport”, points out Rocha.
Poynting Antennas will supply the latest high-gain antennas – MIMO 3-15, MIMO 3-17 and XPOL-2 – connected to Teltonika routers RUT955 and RUT240. This equipment will guarantee stable, high-speed LTE communication for the entire Accert team during every minute and every kilometer, on the days of the event and when traveling to and from its headquarters.
The third edition of the South American Rally Race (SARR 2022) will be split into nine stages and will cross the provinces of La Rioja, San Juan, Mendoza, La pampa and Rio Negro. The competitors’ itinerary includes breathtaking landscapes of the main Argentine biomes, such as the Aimogasta dunes, the La Difunta Correa dunes, Lavalle dunes, El Nihuil dunes, the plateaus of the Meseta de Somuncura, the Andes Desert (in Cuyo), Patagonia, Pampas Secos, among other extremely challenging points in the country.

The pilot Cristiano Rocha and Anderson Geraldi finished the car preparation and final adjustments in the workshop and dormitory trailer, in addition to the motorhome and support car, to participate in the debut race in the 3rd edition of the SARR – South American Rally Race, between the 15th. on February 26, in Argentina, in one of the biggest challenges of the year for the team.
