“We had never done a 300-mile race as we had never done a night race with a three drivers splitting the car. So far the strategy changed to the style of race that Alan and I are used to, at the last minute we decided to pick Alan to start. It was very good and we are happy with the win” celebrated Sergio Laganá. “We are pleased with the car and the tire. In spite of the experience in car racing in Brazil we had some questions, we thought the tire set could not endure, but we still had one more race tire set,” said Sergio.

The winner trio in a grid of 70 cars has won the second consecutive victory. “I am speechless. It was an amazing race. Now we hope to get into the fight for the championship, even though the chances are small, because we didn’t participate in the first round of the year. The team is happy to finish in first position in the ranking. We may try to keep the partnership with Adalberto, who is a fast driver and added a lot to the team, especially on the next rounds, we will need him as a part of our team” said Allan Hellmeister.

The winning drivers in the MP2 category that took place on the green and yellow podium were Luiz Arruda, João Gonçalves and Eduardo Furlanetto finishing in the third position with the Ginetta G50, car #50. In the same category also driving a Ginetta G50, #050, Tom Filho, Elias Azevedo and Rodrigo Mello finishing on fourth and Guilherme Figueroa, Carlos Ambrósio and Alan Hellmeister finishing on the fifth position. Alline and Rossi dividing the Ginetta G40 car (MP4-class) closed in the fourth position. “Unfortunately I had to just finish the race because it was overheating. A shame because we had a car with great chances to finish first in category MP4, leaving me with a big points advantage in relation to my direct opponent in the fight by title. As a result we’re even going to be a good fight until the end of the championship! “, said the driver and team principal Alline Cipriani.
